What metadata does this remove?
The cleaned copy is rebuilt from the visible pixels, so EXIF, GPS coordinates, camera and lens details, dates, IPTC fields, comments, thumbnails, and other embedded metadata are not carried into the new file.
Can I remove metadata from several photos at once?
Yes. Add up to 50 JPG, PNG, or WebP images in one batch, select Remove metadata, and download all successful results in one ZIP file. You can also download any cleaned image separately.
Will removing metadata reduce image quality?
PNG output remains lossless. JPG and WebP have to be encoded again and are saved at high quality, so a very small visual difference is possible. The pixel dimensions do not change.
Does it preserve transparent backgrounds?
Yes when you keep PNG or WebP output. JPG does not support transparency, so transparent areas are placed on white if JPG is selected.
Why are HEIC, TIFF, GIF, and SVG not accepted?
This tool only offers formats the browser can reliably decode and save again without misleading you. GIF re-encoding would lose animation, SVG is not a camera-photo format, and browser support for saving HEIC and TIFF is not reliable. Convert those files to JPG, PNG, or WebP first, then clean them here.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Cleaning and ZIP creation happen inside your browser. Your images are not uploaded to ConduitTools or a third-party service.
