Which compression level should I choose?
Choose Preserve text for digital documents with links, forms, or text you need to select. Choose Balanced for image-heavy PDFs, or Smallest when the upload limit matters most.
Why did my PDF not get smaller?
Some PDFs are already optimized. Preserve text may make little difference, while image-based modes are more effective for scans and photos.
Will compression change the document?
Preserve text keeps the original page content and features. Balanced and Smallest recreate each page as an image, so text, links, and forms are flattened.
Can it open a password-protected PDF?
No. Remove the password using software you trust before adding the file here.
