Twenty-eight field types across people, places, work, values and text. Rename any column, drag it into place, and the JSON keys, CSV headers and SQL columns follow.
Generators
Dummy Data Generator
Build the sample records your test, demo or mockup needs. Choose the fields, set how many rows, and take them away as JSON, CSV, SQL inserts or a plain table.
How to use this tool
Choose a ready-made set under Start from, such as Users or Orders, then add, rename, reorder or remove fields until the columns match what you need.
Open Options to set how many Rows you want, the Region the names and phone numbers should follow, and the Seed, which decides the data: keep it to get the same rows again, or press New seed for a different set.
Choose Table, JSON, CSV or SQL at the top, then use Copy data or Download. Every record is invented, so it is safe to paste into a demo.

10 rows, 5 fields.
The shape of your data, not somebody else's.
Start from a ready-made set of fields, then rename each column to match your table or interface. What you see in the preview is exactly what Copy and Download give you.
The rows come from a seeded generator. Keep the seed and you get the same data every time, which makes it safe to commit as a fixture or use in a screenshot; press New seed for a fresh set.
Nothing is copied from a real person or business. Addresses are invented, emails use the reserved example domains, and phone numbers come from the blocks kept aside for film and documentation.
Frequently asked questions
What can I export?
JSON as an array of objects, CSV with a header row and proper quoting, SQL INSERT statements for the table name you give, or a plain table you can paste into a spreadsheet. Copy puts the whole set on the clipboard and Download saves it as a file; the on-screen table shows the first twenty-five rows so the page stays quick.
Is the data the same every time?
Yes, for the same seed. The rows come from a seeded generator, so the same seed, fields, region and row count always produce identical data. Change the seed, or press New seed or Generate new data, for a different set.
Are the names, emails and phone numbers real?
No. Names are assembled from invented word lists, addresses and cities are made up, emails use example.com, example.net and example.org, which are reserved for documentation and can never be registered, and phone numbers come from ranges set aside for fiction. Nothing here belongs to a real person.
How many rows and fields can I generate?
Up to 1,000 rows and 20 fields at a time. That is enough to fill a table, a paginated list or a seed script, and it keeps the browser responsive while you change the options.
What does the Region setting change?
The style of the invented names, cities, states or provinces, streets, postcodes and phone numbers. United States uses five-digit postcodes and 555 numbers, United Kingdom uses postcode letters and the 07700 900xxx drama range, and Philippines uses four-digit postcodes and a +63 mobile format.
Can I use this data in a public demo?
Yes. Because every value is invented and the contact details use reserved ranges, there is nothing to redact. It is a better choice than a copied production export, which is the usual way personal data ends up in a test database.
